Home Farm Education Project

This project has been running for the past two years. GED has been working with Derby primary schools and Home Farm, Markeaton, to set up a farm visit.

The farm and school visit has its own website which includes details about the farm, teachers resources, booking, classroom activities and photos of the animals.

Home Farm Travel Subsidy

Throughout the 2003 season, GED is able to offer travel subsidies to schools who are located in disadvantaged areas of Derby. Schools can apply for up to £250 towards the cost of travel to a farm visit. This subsidy is funded by the Local Network Fund of the National Lottery. If you think your school is eligible for a subsidy and would like to go on a farm visit, contact Beth de Lange at GED to apply.
