Green Flag for Development
The Green Flag project is supporting selected Derby and Derbyshire schools to integrate global issues into the curriculum and wider life of the school focusing on using the Global Dimension doorway of the Sustainable Schools programme. Global issues are not treated as a separate topic, but integrated into other Sustainable School themes such as Waste, Food, Energy, and Transport. The project has links with schools and educational institutes in South Africa.
The project is developing teaching materials and training courses to share experience with other teachers.
