CONTENT

All project partners will contribute to the development of the content on the website (at least one suggestion for each of the 13 themes). The website will have 5 different categories for contributions:

a)stimulae (quotations, perspectives, pictures, cartoons, case-studies, poems, fiction, song lyrics, interview, drama)

b)input text (short text on possible intitutionalised perspectives)

c)reflexive questions (related to personal assumptions/perspectives)

d)open space questions (questions to be discussed in the group)

e)tasks (simulation, problem solving, role play, project tasks, forum tasks)

The website will be functioning by June 15, contributions should be uploaded to the website by 30 July.

Teachers in the Uk and elsewhere will also be invited to contribute to the website.

CORE RESEARCH

1. 10 hours of sessions (5 x 2 hours minimum) - selection of topics from the agreed list of topics

2. Common introductory unit 'Knowledge and perspectives'

3. Agreed common research tool: diary booklets (3 entries: 1 after introductory unit + 1 in the middle of the series of sessions + 1 after the last session). Diaries to be reviewed and commented on by 28 May and produced and sent by Mundi to international partners

4. Agreed (at least) one optional research tool - e.g.: recorded sessions (audio or video), focus groups (recorded reflections on learning and process), researcher field notes, interviews, written critical responses, etc…

5. Case-studies - facilitators will produce feedback on their case-studies including their analysis of the process. This will be done according to each facilitators' discretion and will be an integral part of the research as well.

COMMUNICATION

Two online forums will be created:

Participants forum - it was agreed that we would all find ways of encouraging participants to engage with people from other contexts in the forum. The forum will be divided into 12 themes, but will be open for participants and facilitators to propose tasks and questions. We discussed whether or not to make contributions compulsory at least in the beginning in order to get the forum going, but this will only happen in certain contexts. Other ideas discussed were related to video-conferencing and summer schools in New York…J

Facilitators forum - for information about each context and communication about the research and implementations processes (what is going on, where, challenges and achievements, information about conferences and paper presentations, dissemination, collaborative writing, theoretical frameworks and discussions, etc…)
For this forum, we will need brief descriptions of each context and your plans for application (with dates and strategies). Perhaps we could attempt to do that by 15/06 as well?

WEBSITE

The first website will be created and hosted by Mundi (with Ingrid's support) and will consist of:

1. A general information area (with project background and partners' recorded perspectives - videos)

2. A facilitators' area (wiki):

Content database

a)stimulae

b)input text

c)reflexive questions

d)open space questions

e)tasks

Evaluation (if other people are involved in content design and facilitation it would be good to start a dialogue in relation to the available input)

A researchers' area (wiki):
-Description of contexts
-Draft case-studies
-Suggested readings
-Theoretical frameworks
-Information about related work in progress, dissemination, conferences

4. A participants' area: forum
