Paper resources may seem a little old-fashioned now, but some still prefer them ,and there is a lot of good stuff in there that just isn't available online. Elsewhere on this website we have frequently referenced and recommended the OSDE and Through other Eyes web-based resources, and we do so again here, but links to other useful sites can be found under the Links button to the side of the page.

You might also want to check out some new resources:

New: Free resources with an Islamic perspective

A fresh set of on-line resources have been produced by One World Week, in partnership with Islamic Relief.  These lively, visually-engaging resources are suitable for key stage 2 and up and can be downloaded directly from the One World Week website: www.oneworldweek.org/v2/index.php?page=islamic-perspectives

Teaching about the Haiti earthquake - The DEA have put together a selection of web-links that teachers may find useful in teaching about the recent earthquake in Haiti and the on-going humanitarian response: www.globaldimension.org.uk/index.aspx?id=1338

On the Global Dimension website, you will also find information on Indian Ocean Tsunami - Five Years On.  It might also be interesting to view these whilst discussing the current problems in Haiti: www.globaldimension.org.uk/index.aspx?id=1322

FREE on-line Global Education resource. For all teachers struggling with how to introduce global issues and perspectives into your Eco-Schools or Sustainable Schools programmes, help is at hand. Global Education Derby have just launched a new website www.green-flag.org.uk with lots of free downloadable resources for all Key Stages. Developed by teachers, for teachers as part of a DfID funded project over the past three years, the resources are practical, fun and challenging activities to engage your pupils, get them thinking and help them learn. The activities also link with National Curriculum programmes of study for a wide range of subjects including English, Art and Design, Geography, Design Technology, Science, Music, Citizenship and PSHE.
