Widening HorizonsPromoting Global Citizenship through the International School Award
This new project at GED supports the Government target that all schools should have the International School Award (ISA) by 2012. To get the ISA schools need to have an international link. We will focus schools on making their link with a school in the global South. This takes hard work and commitment from both sides but when it works it can give a valuable contribution to the delivery of global education by: -
Exploring links between people in the North and the South
-
Understanding and respecting diversity
-
Widening our values and perceptions of other cultures
-
Recognising our global interdependence
-
Breaking down stereotypes
