Global Education Derby (GED) provides opportunities for young people to be involved in exciting and innovative global youth work projects across Derby and Derbyshire. We also provide volunteering opportunities here at GED:

There two main ways as a young person you may want to get involved:
1) Become a project participant.
2) Volunteer - if you would like to assist with the running of activities, workshops, residential, etc.

Global Education Derby provides opportunities for volunteering in a variety of ways:
Student Placements
GED offer a variety of placements to university students. In the past we have had undergraduate and postgraduate students from Education, Youth and Community Work, Third World Development, Health & Social Work and Politics & Religion & Psychology from the University of Derby, Leicester DeMontfort University, University of Birmingham and University of Chester. Board of Trustees
GED are always looking for enthusiastic young people aged 18+ to join our Board of Trustees (formerly known as our Management Committee). This is a fantastic way to gain managerial experience and also be directly involved with the running of a local charity. This is a challenging but rewarding role and offers strategic experience which looks great on a CV! For more information click here and to download an expression of interest form here.
General Volunteering
GED offer general volunteering opportunities such as admin work, library assistance and occasionally project specific work such as researching global issues for new GED publications. If you would like to find out more what volunteering opportunities GED can offer you please email admin@globaleducationderby.org.uk
